The CARES Act, Community Roundtables, and PulseCheck

Hi Friends,
What a month. In addition to feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and uncertain (sound familiar?), I’m incredibly grateful for and awed by the work that you, our partners, are doing. In the past few weeks, I’ve had conversations with our partners who are on the frontlines of the healthcare response, fighting to maintain access to food banks and shelters, and surging forward on their respective missions.
In short, we’re honored to support you. As thanks, we’re doing our best to provide clarity on what feels like hourly developments as quickly as we can. This month, that means we’ve created a guide to applying for loans via CARES, we’re hosting roundtables for specific nonprofit industries to connect and learn together, and unveiling a new tool to help you understand and communicate with your donors better during this time.
We remain at your service to grapple with your organization’s specific needs and quandaries. Your indomitable energy is buoying us, and we hope to do the same for you.
With all my gratitude and wishes for strength and health,

Now that FreeWill is working from home, we've picked up some new hobbies to round out our workdays! James Ellis, our Senior Data Analyst, on recently baking every type of bread imaginable in his apartment in Queens:
Top bread tips?
Buy a scale! And if you need somewhere to let your bread rise, try on top of your radiator.
What do people under-appreciate about bread?
People get intimidated or scared off by bread. I think people under-appreciate that...the dough forgives.
Can you come up with an accurate acrostic for "bread"?
Bouncy, Regal, Entertaining, Affordable, Delicious.
