Our new FreeWill team photo (work-from-home style!)
Happy National Estate Planning Awareness Week! As your supporters plan for their futures this week, we'd like to share some resources to support your organization as the end of 2020 rapidly approaches.
Are you a QCD partner? We've got you covered!
As end-of-year approaches, there’s no better time for our QCD partners to send outreach and encourage this taxwise form of giving. But in a year with new legislation and changes in communication best practices, you may be wondering how to best approach QCD outreach.
One easy thing you can do today? Feature your FreeWill QCD tool prominently on your organization's donate page. By directing your supporters to this page, you can easily encourage them to learn more and complete an IRA gift. This has been one of the most effective methods our QCD partners have taken to drive gifts — and it's a low lift for your organization!
We also highly recommend taking our QCD masterclass (approved for 1.5 CFRE credits) to make sure you and your team are comfortable and prepared to talk to donors about QCDs and maximize gifts for your organizations.
In addition, we have a variety of strategies and resources your organization can use to market IRA giving before the holiday season arrives:

Stock gifts masterclass
After lots of positive feedback on our QCD masterclass, we’ve decided to roll out an online stock gifts course! In the same vein as our QCD course, the goal is to help our community of nonprofits build confidence in talking about why stock gifts are so powerful and advantageous for donors as well as how to include this strategy in your high-impact fundraising plan! This course has been approved for 1.5 CFRE credits.
Emails drive more than 16% of online donations (and during National Make-a-Will Month, 85% of bequests from FreeWill partner outreach stemmed from email campaigns!) Check out our top writing tips as well as example emails from successful nonprofits.
