## 12 essential estate planning documents everyone needs

 

Estate planning doesn’t have to be intimidating or time consuming — thanks to online resources, it’s simpler and more affordable than ever to plan who will receive assets and manage our estate when we pass away.

 

Plus, having a plan in place is one of the kindest things we can do for the people we love.

 

With National Estate Planning Awareness Week (NEPAW) coming up October 16-22, we wanted to offer you an overview of important legal documents your supporters may consider including in their estate plan, why each is essential, and how they can get them ready. 

 

In this session, we:

1. Shared twelve essential estate planning documents everyone needs, and why
2. Reviewed which documents FreeWill makes available to users at no cost
3. Touched on what to do with completed estate documents
4. Explored why NEPAW is a great time to talk to donors about estate planning
