National Estate Planning Awareness Week (NEPAW)
Date & Time: Thu, August 6 at 1:00pm ET
Length: 30 minutes
Who should attend: All FreeWill Planned Giving Suite partners
Will a recording be available? Yes
You've heard of National Make-A-Will Month, held every year in August. But estate planning can include much more than just a will!
National Estate Planning Awareness Week (NEPAW) was founded in 2008 by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils as a way to help the public understand what estate planning is and why it's a vital component of financial wellness.
For your organization, NEPAW (October 19-25, 2026) represents an opportunity to raise awareness, put free easy-to-use estate planning tools in your donors’ hands, and generate legacy gifts in the process.
Join us on August 6 at 1:00pm ET as we share:
-
- Reasons why NEPAW is such an effective time to educate donors about the importance of estate planning and the impact of charitable planned gifts
- Outreach strategies for the campaign ("must haves" and "nice to haves")
- Suggested framings and compelling new messaging for your NEPAW campaign
- How to opt in to the campaign before the October 9th deadline
Can't make it? Register anyway. We'll email you the recording and slide deck.
