5 strategies to enhance your donor communication and stewardship strategy

 

When donors stop giving, it’s usually because the organization hasn’t built a meaningful relationship with them. And yet how to steward past donors remains a challenge for gift officers.

 

In 2021, learning how to effectively communicate and steward donors is imperative to capture the attention of previous donors, especially those who gave in 2020. 

 

2020 was a transformative year in the nonprofit sector. Despite the economic impact of the pandemic, first time donors increased by 7.3% and overall giving increased by 2% compared to 2019. In 2021, gift officers needed to refocus their donor communications and commit to finding ways to connect with donors on a personal level, thank them for their gifts, and inspire repeat giving.

 

In this training we shared learnings from tour 2021 Tax Season campaign and reviewed the most effective strategies to steward your donors.
